What the role covers

John Sisk and Son is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its life science team in the Netherlands, working on projects let under an NEC4 framework contract. The advert names the administration of NEC4 Option B across multiple work packages and projects as a core duty, together with the monthly valuation cycle, change management and the early warning process.

The holder integrates the commercial strategy and amends it with the commercial manager to suit the projects within the framework. Procurement responsibilities run from preparing tenders and analysing and selecting subcontractors through to finalising orders and managing them to final account.

Forecasts, targets and cost value reconciliations are prepared and presented, projected final accounts updated regularly, and the final account submitted and agreed in good time. The post is expected to maintain and protect the company's commercial and contractual entitlement, keep site records and document control in order, and deal with insurance and warranties.

Risk and opportunity plans are reviewed and updated, with changes carried into forecast reports. Value engineering and design development are included, as is mentoring junior quantity surveyors. Sisk asks for five or more years as a senior quantity surveyor on pharmaceutical and other construction projects and proven delivery under NEC3 and NEC4.

No salary and no closing date are published.
