What the role covers

The Skanska, Costain and STRABAG joint venture is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract, whose scope covers twin bored tunnels driven by tunnel boring machine, sprayed concrete lining tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds. This senior planner post assists the planning manager in developing and monitoring the programme so that it complies with the joint venture's planning standards and the HS2 requirements, and meets the access dates, milestones and other dates the contract fixes. Named duties include helping to build the programme structure, the work breakdown structure, the calendars and the dates the joint venture works to, aligned with the cost breakdown structure and the employer's data dictionary, and developing cost and resource loaded programmes through early contractor involvement stages one and two for submission against the required delivery milestones.
