John Sisk and Son is recruiting a Senior Commercial Manager for Denmark, based in Copenhagen, under requisition 2026-2969 on its own careers board. The advert makes the holder responsible for the commercial and contractual performance of a portfolio of projects within a business unit, leading the project commercial teams and acting as the commercial link between project teams, business unit leadership and the Commercial Director. The responsibilities run from tender to final account: reviewing, negotiating and executing contract documents before a project starts, managing commercial teams to deliver accurate reporting, valuations, cash management and risk mitigation, providing commercial support during tendering, procurement and contract negotiation, and implementing the company's internal control and risk management policy on every allocated project. Subcontractor procurement, contract execution and supply chain management sit with the role, as do margin protection, the capture of lessons learned, support to dispute management and resolution with the internal legal team, and the mentoring of quantity surveyors and assistant quantity surveyors. Sisk asks for significant experience as a commercial manager within a tier one contractor, a proven record of commercial outcomes on major projects or frameworks, strong knowledge of contract administration, risk management and dispute resolution, and experience of managing commercial teams. Chartered membership of RICS or CIOB and experience across infrastructure, commercial building and industrial work are desirable. The post is full time.
