What the role covers

The project services arm at Chorley is recruiting quantity surveyors at intermediate and quantity surveyor grade to work with prime contractors and blue chip clients on infrastructure, nuclear and oil and gas projects. The posting describes engagement from the pre-contract phases through to post-contract financial compliance and commercial and contract management. The deliverables are listed: support on tender and contract documents, analysis of tender commercial returns, pre and post contract commercial support and contract administration, cost forecasting, change and value management, review and completion of contractor interim applications for payment, support in agreeing contract variations and claims, and completion of final accounts. The employer asks for a recognised degree in quantity surveying or a related subject and three years of relevant project experience for the intermediate grade or five for the quantity surveyor grade, with commercial team experience on infrastructure, nuclear or oil and gas work and the procurement and administration of engineering contracts under NEC3 and NEC4.
