What the role covers

A planning post on a mixed-use development in Riyadh whose programme runs to more than two hundred projects, including cultural and heritage assets, food and beverage, retail, hotels, commercial buildings and educational facilities, with the employer providing the programme management. The holder makes regular site visits to test real time progress against the schedule and reviews and analyses programmes, including critical paths, float and change documentation. Mitigation schedules are assessed with independent analysis and recommendations, and progress is monitored against the baseline programmes so that delay is identified and performance reported. Supporting data such as procurement and quality information is evaluated to judge the health of the schedule. Monthly planning reports are prepared setting out risks, trends and their effect on progress, and project performance is tracked so that trends can be identified and mitigation strategies developed. Project interfaces that may affect delivery are managed and assessed from this post. The holder works with the project management consultants and the design consultants so that productivity outputs are accurate, develops and maintains integrated master schedules at levels two and three, and keeps the work to the programme management office standards, reviewing dashboards and planning procedures. The employer asks for a relevant degree and professional membership, or work towards it, with the PMP, PMI-SP or an equivalent.
