What the role covers

A planning post in Abu Dhabi on a large regeneration scheme of mixed use, which will carry commercial workplaces, retail units and public realm, and where the employer provides the project management services. The holder develops detailed programmes against the project constraints, works with the project team and supports its reporting obligations, and reviews productivity while capturing progress metrics. Communication with clients and other stakeholders sits with the post, as does the integration of sustainable design and procurement into the programmes and the embedding of health and safety within programme delivery. The holder establishes and oversees the project work plans and deadlines and carries the net zero carbon transition through the delivery work. The employer asks for a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least eight years of sector experience, proven delivery on infrastructure or building projects with consultancy or project management consultancy work counted as an advantage, and skill in Primavera P6, Power BI and Microsoft Office alongside scheduling and reporting. Strong English is required and Arabic is treated as an advantage, with the posting also asking for an effective communicator able to handle several matters at once and aware of sustainability.
