What the role covers

A recently qualified quantity surveyor, or a graduate in a relevant degree, or somebody who has worked in a quantity surveying practice or for a contractor for up to three years. The employer states the role may be recognised at intermediate level depending on experience and qualifications such as MRICS. The work is commercial support and general quantity surveying alongside experienced consultants, handling commercial and contractual queries, taking a forensic approach to surveying and contract administration, managing the holder's own project and contract administration, and advising clients in line with company procedures. The client base is typically main contractors on projects above two million pounds and subcontract packages above five hundred thousand pounds. A related degree, ARICS or MRICS status and either private practice or contractor experience are stated as essential, as are a full driving licence and own car.
