What the role covers

The work is cost management of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection packages on high rise mixed use residential developments in Vietnam, across residential towers, retail podiums, shared facilities and supporting infrastructure. Before contract the holder prepares estimates, cost plans and budgets at every project stage and advises on the cost of building services, naming heating and ventilation, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, extra low voltage systems and building management systems. Tender documentation is prepared for each building services trade package, with tender evaluation, comparison of quotations and market pricing taken from local contractors and suppliers, feeding procurement strategy and contractor selection recommendations. After contract the holder manages variations, change orders and cost adjustments on the building services works, reviews contractor claims, progress valuations and payment submissions, monitors commitments through construction and supports final account negotiation and close out. Monthly cost reports, forecasts and cash flow updates are required, with expenditure tracked, the final cost forecast maintained and cost overruns, risks and opportunities identified with recommended mitigation. Five to ten years in cost management, quantity surveying or commercial management are asked for, with proven work on building services packages in high rise residential, mixed use, commercial or hospitality projects. Experience of the Vietnamese market is preferred. Consultancy, developer, contractor and project management backgrounds are all accepted. No salary is published and no closing date is given.
