Linesight is recruiting a Cost Manager for the civil, structural and architectural packages handled by its Global Capability Centre in India, with Mumbai and Bengaluru both named as locations on the posting. The role supports the senior cost managers in drafting proposals for upcoming projects, takes responsibility for several packages at once and answers client requests accurately and on time. The core of the work is creating estimates and cost plans for CSA packages on client developments, leading the preparation of quantification take-offs for cost plans and bills of quantities, and reviewing the overall CSA scope, with a moderate knowledge of MEP works expected alongside it. Linesight asks for high proficiency in CostX and data books, a command of standard modes of measurement, a basic knowledge of the procurement of global projects, and the ability to handle multiple projects and stakeholders across time zones. The holder also leads and trains a team, contributes to the QA and QC plan and supports sales and marketing. The advert asks for at least eight years in cost management, ideally in a consultancy on large construction projects such as data centres and life sciences, at least five years in quantification take-offs, two years on overseas projects and three years on CostX or a comparable tool.
