What the role covers
This post carries governance of a diverse portfolio of roads and infrastructure contracts for Hill International in Saudi Arabia. The holder sets contract management strategy, procedures and governance frameworks, leads and mentors the contract management and administration teams, and drives a consistent way of working across every contract in the portfolio. The commercial substance of the role sits in risk and entitlement: identifying and managing contractual and commercial exposure, advising on entitlements, liabilities and obligations, and leading the management of changes, variations, claims, compensation events and extensions of time. Dispute avoidance and resolution are supported from this post, as is contractor performance review against contractual obligations. The holder is the first contractual point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Hill asks for a degree in quantity surveying, commercial management, construction management, engineering or law, and a minimum of fifteen years in contract management, commercial management or contract administration on major infrastructure or construction projects. Substantial experience of administering FIDIC contracts is required, along with proven leadership of multidisciplinary commercial teams. Membership of RICS, CIArb, ICE or CICES is preferred. Oracle Unifier and SAP are named. The posting states a project duration of five months. No salary is published and no closing date is given.
