Innovo Group is recruiting a Contracts Head in Cairo to establish procedures for its Contracts and Claims Department and advise senior management on contract decisions. The role leads the contracts team in monitoring contractual obligations and time bars and in preparing correspondence, notices, claims and counterclaims. Pre-award work includes contract review, risk assessment, qualification and negotiation, including contractual mechanisms dealing with market fluctuation and price reimbursement. The postholder will also draft and negotiate joint venture and consortium agreements with national and international parties. During project delivery, the Contracts Head will defend and negotiate claims with employer and engineer representatives, draft settlement amendments, and support project close-out. The posting specifically covers the settlement of claims and disputed variations. It also requires the compilation of extension-of-time and acceleration claims and the related prolongation or disruption costs for mediation or arbitration, with support during those proceedings. Applicants need a degree in construction engineering or another engineering subject and at least ten years of construction contract-management experience.
