What the role covers

Pre and post contract management of an infrastructure portfolio delivered under framework agreements and call-off work orders, described in the posting as ensuring those requirements are adhered to and fulfilled. Before contract, the post works with the contracting entity's procurement and legal teams and supports programme directors on the engagement of contractors and consultants under that entity's own procedures and procurement strategy. After award it administers the work orders through to completion, take over of the works and final assessment, and supports the review and acceptance of subcontractors and subcontract documents. The posting requires the coordinator to work to the contracting entity's contract management standards and to the terms and conditions of the contract suite in use, for which it gives NEC as the example, and it requires non-compliance to be reported. The coordinator reviews draft contracts for fitness for purpose and tailoring to the project, co-ordinating legal, technical and financial input, and leads contractual negotiations with guidance to the project or services manager and the programme director. Contractor and consultant performance is monitored against the contractually agreed indicators, and the post contributes to the management of disputes.
