What the role covers

EllisDon is recruiting a Senior Planner and Scheduler in Toronto, requisition R2026-01385. The post works with the project team and leads the development of the baseline schedule to the contractor's own standards of format, layout, content and quality. Schedules on each assigned project are updated every other week from information the project team supplies, and the post reports on how accurate and reliable that information is, so occasional site visits are expected. Updates carry as built dates, short term forecasting, change and delay information with the schedule impact incorporated, and resequencing where the execution plan has moved. The role leads weekly and monthly schedule progress meetings with clients and trade partners, identifies unplanned events and works their effect into the schedule, and develops as built against as planned comparisons. It supports project teams with micro work schedules, what if scenarios and time impact analysis schedules. On pursuits the post reads the bid documents for the schedule related contractual requirements and builds the pursuit schedule in Primavera P6, with durations and relationships vetted against superintendents, subtrades or the internal production rates database. The employer asks for eight or more years of construction scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience, with building experience required.
