Vision Built, the offsite construction business within the Sisk group, is recruiting a Senior Commercial Manager to run the commercial and contractual performance of a portfolio of projects in a business unit. The advert places the post as the commercial link between the project teams, the business unit leadership and the Commercial Director, with leadership of the project commercial teams and responsibility for risk management and for the profitability of the portfolio. The duties named are leading the commercial management of several projects from tender to final account, making sure every contract document is reviewed, negotiated and executed before a project starts, managing the commercial teams on reporting, valuations, cash management and risk mitigation, giving commercial support during tendering, procurement and contract negotiation so that risks and opportunities are identified, applying the internal control and risk management policy across every allocated project, overseeing subcontractor procurement and supply chain management, protecting and improving margin through commercial controls, capturing and circulating lessons learned, supporting dispute management and resolution with the internal legal team, and mentoring quantity surveyors and assistant quantity surveyors. Vision Built asks for substantial experience as a commercial manager or equivalent with a tier one contractor, a record of commercial results on major projects or frameworks, a strong knowledge of contract administration, risk management and dispute resolution, and experience of managing and developing commercial teams. Chartered membership of RICS or CIOB and experience across infrastructure, commercial building and industrial work are described as desirable. No salary and no closing date are published.
