What the role covers
Ledcor's building construction team is recruiting a scheduling manager for its Ontario work, based at Etobicoke and covering projects in Toronto and Ottawa. The posting sets the role above single project scheduling: resource loaded master schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project, portfolio level integration so that programmes line up with business and financial targets, and critical path analysis to test durations, resource allocation and sequence. Schedule risk assessment is explicit, with mitigation and recovery plans where a delay or a bottleneck is identified, and variance analysis against the baseline with corrective action recommended to the project. What will interest claims practitioners is the stated partnership with operations, estimating, legal and project controls to support bids, claims management, delay analysis and extension of time requests. Schedule audits and health checks are part of the brief, as is standardising scheduling method, tools and reporting across projects, and acting as the point of technical reference on difficult scheduling problems. The manager also mentors and develops schedulers and planners across the region and advises senior management on resource planning, critical path trade offs and the financial consequences of a programme decision. Ledcor asks for ten years or more of construction planning and scheduling experience and four years or more in a leadership or supervisory position. Full time, Etobicoke, Ontario. No salary and no closing date is published.
