What the role covers
Trowers and Hamlins is recruiting a knowledge lawyer into its Construction Disputes team in London, on a permanent full time hybrid basis at the firm's Bunhill Row office. The posting places the role in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation department under requisition TH-0059. The postholder keeps the team supplied with know-how: organising and maintaining the electronic know-how banks, reviewing material submitted by fee earners for inclusion, profiling it on the document management system and intranet so that lawyers can search it, and sourcing new legislation, case reports and other developments for circulation. Drafting is a large part of the role. The employer names review of existing precedents and crib sheets, preparation of new ones, and other know-how material such as flow charts and house views. Training duties include preparing and delivering internal and external courses, supporting tenders, and recording talks, videos and webinars. Business development duties cover client updates and alerts, responses to public consultations, summaries of legal developments for the firm's website, and assistance to fee earners writing articles and preparing seminars. The employer asks for a qualified solicitor with at least five years post-qualification experience across contentious construction, or previous experience as a professional support lawyer in construction disputes. Solid drafting, commercial awareness and an interest in innovation and artificial intelligence are sought. No salary is published and the posting carries no closing date.
