What the role covers
The role leads contract administration during the construction phase of a major light rail programme in Dublin and carries it into the opening of the operational phases. The posting places the administration of the consultancy and advisor contracts with the holder, together with the contract manual and the processes and procedures that sit beneath it. Changes and claims are named directly, alongside the calling of meetings, the handling of communication, and a duty to see that matters are either resolved or put in front of the parties who need them. The holder also oversees the organising, filing and documentation, and the operation of the financial management processes. On experience the employer asks for more than ten years in contract administration, of which at least five must have been spent leading contract administration across the project lifecycle through to completion on high value metro rail projects or work of comparable scale and complexity. Experience of large public private partnership contracts is sought. The posting further asks for a record in commercial agreements and a legal awareness of contract risk, including the drafting of complex and bespoke contract terms and commercial principles covering supplies, services and framework agreements.
