What the role covers

This role leads commercial management and strategic oversight for district cooling programmes through development and operational phases. The director leads commercial work for district cooling projects, infrastructure programmes and service agreements.

The duties include:

• commercial strategy
• tendering activities
• contract award recommendations and negotiations with operators
• utility providers
• contractors
• consultants
• other partners

The role prepares and reviews commercial agreements, concession arrangements, service contracts and partnership frameworks. It monitors contractual obligations, revenue mechanisms, cost structures and financial commitments. The director also oversees contract administration, variation management, claims resolution and dispute management.

The post works with development, engineering, utilities, finance, procurement, legal and operations teams. Qiddiya requires experience in commercial management, utilities, infrastructure development, energy, construction or related disciplines.

It seeks twelve to fifteen years of progressive experience, including:

• commercial work on district cooling
• utilities
• infrastructure
• major capital projects

Experience of complex commercial agreements, service contracts and commercial teams is also specified.
