John Sisk and Son is recruiting a Senior Planner in Dublin for its data centre team, leading the planning and project controls function and setting standards for consistency across pre-construction and construction.

Programme work covers the development of baseline contract programmes for design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover with clear logic links and critical path, construction target programmes that identify improvement against the contract programme, and tender event programmes for subcontractor procurement that integrate design release and lead-in activities. Programme documentation is kept in a common data environment.

The post produces four dimensional models or two dimensional phasing plans to show build sequence, logistics and phasing, identifies programme risk and opportunity, and applies mitigation, float and time risk allowances.

Reporting duties include:

• tracking schedules for subcontractor programmes
• as built programmes showing variance against baseline
• input into change requests with advice on programme impact
• validation of progress against output rates to inform future tenders
• peer review of other planners' programmes

The holder reports programme positions at monthly contract reviews, leads weekly and monthly programme reporting with the project management teams, benchmarks programme periods against subcontractor input and historic data, and manages, mentors and reviews assistant and graduate planners.
