UrbaCon Trading and Contracting, part of UCC Holding, is recruiting a Planning Manager in Qatar through the Power International Holding careers board, with the advert dated 7 September 2026. The role oversees all planning staff, ensures good practice is applied in project controls and planning across every project, and reports overall progress, delays and areas of concern to management. It also supports projects in delay analysis and any complex project controls question that arises. The responsibilities listed run from developing full project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resources and milestones, through building and managing schedules with critical path analysis, resource allocation and task sequencing, to coordinating labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors with project managers. The holder identifies risks to delivery and the strategies to mitigate them, assists with budget preparation and cost estimation, maintains project documentation including change orders and progress reports, monitors progress against milestones and puts corrective action in place where a project slips. UCC asks for an advanced understanding of project management principles, strong leadership of planning teams, proficiency in scheduling software and ERP knowledge, preferably SAP, which the advert states is a requirement. The minimum experience is eight years, five of them in a relevant supervisory position, with two years in the GCC treated as a plus. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or engineering is required, with MMUP engineer registration (UPDA) or PMP. No salary and no closing date are published.
