What the role covers

A senior planning post on a mixed-use development in Riyadh whose programme runs to more than two hundred projects, including cultural and heritage assets, food and beverage, retail, hotels, commercial buildings and educational facilities, with the employer providing the programme management. The holder leads the application of planning and scheduling methods, tools and techniques and applies knowledge of project controls and earned value management. Communication with clients, project teams and stakeholders sits with the post, together with influencing complex requirements by supplying clear analysis and corrective measures. Teams delivering planning and schedule management services are managed and developed by the holder, who guides clients in adopting the proposals and recommendations put to them and drives planning and project controls to the employer's own standards, carrying the net zero carbon transition through the delivery work. The employer asks for a relevant degree, with chartered membership or a recognised professional certification preferred, and professional membership or work towards it with the APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or an equivalent body. Proven delivery of residential or infrastructure projects in a programme management office environment is required, along with the handling of complex programmes and schedules and the translation of data into clear insight for a range of stakeholders.
