What the role covers

A project controls post reporting to the project controls manager and working with project teams on cost control, forecasting, risk and month end reporting. The posting states the holder will support project cost control, analysis, forecasting, cashflow forecasting and the month end reporting process, and will manage change control activities, expressly including the recording, analysis and documentation of variations, trends and project close out information. Assistance with project risk management is also named, and the posting specifies risk documentation, delay claim support and the development of contingency where needed. The holder is to coach team members in the use of cost management systems, reporting tools and project processes, and to contribute to improvement across project reporting and controls. The employer asks for five to ten years in civil contracting, quantity surveying or a similar project environment, strong cost management capability with intermediate to advanced knowledge of CCS, JDE or a similar system and of Excel, and an understanding of construction delivery covering cost, time, procurement, risk and the reading of drawings.
