What the role covers

A programming post operating across the national footprint of the employer's utilities business, weighted towards the tender phase rather than site delivery. The posting states the holder will schedule, plan, monitor and report on deliverables and milestones using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and other tools, and will be primarily responsible for developing tender phase programmes for major project pursuits, working across the pre contract and delivery teams on planning analysis, status reports and design and construction schedules. The stated duties include implementing project planning and monitoring processes and systems with a focus on time, cost, resources and quality, described as project controls and earned value; building cost and resource loaded programmes with input from delivery, commercial, procurement and engineering; participating in post tender discussions to present and defend the key elements of the programme; and producing basis of schedule documentation to accompany the programme as a returnable at tender.
