What the role covers

Costain is recruiting a planner to the Northumbrian Water Living Water Enterprise, the AMP8 framework worth up to about 670 million pounds to the business over fifteen years. The post reports to the planning lead and starts on multiple live sites across County Durham in the construction phase, monitoring the site delivery programme and updating the contractual submissions made to Northumbrian Water. The programme is then carried through the delivery phase to handover and on to completion. The advert asks for contract programmes built in the designated planning tool that link design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and handover across the project life cycle, and for fully logic linked programmes aligned with the NEC contract requirements. Other duties named are displaying and analysing the critical path and advising the project team and the client of the result and of any corrective action, producing and maintaining baselines, running the change control process, updating schedules to reflect progress, change events, risk and opportunity, and supporting the site delivery team with short term lookahead programmes. The role is hybrid and permanent, a driving licence is required, and no salary and no closing date are given.
